As I sit here trying to write my bio the same thing keeps running through my mind. Who is actually going to take the time to read this? Does anyone ever actually read these things? If they do, do they really care what Bible Colleges I attended, what degrees I have or how many Ordained Minister Licenses I hold? Probably not. In every aspect of my life I try to be H.O.T.. No not Physically, the nightly trips to the freezer to eat a half gallon of Butter Pecan Ice Cream is pretty much me waving the white flag on that. H.O.T. is an acronym for honest, open and transparent. So this is my H.O.T. bio, if you are that one person who has decided to read it, thank you and I apologize in advance if it bores you.
I am married to the love of my life, Julie. We have 3 awesome (most of the time) children, Addison, Aiden and Kinzlee. We have 2 big dogs and 4 cats (yes, I know that is ridiculous, please email my wife email@example.com and let her know you agree with me). Julie and I have what I would call a storybook romance. Maybe not quite how you would see in a movie, but in my opinion it’s much better. We are real people and we have real people issues. Between the two of us we have experienced hurt, betrayal, the fallout of divorce, the brokenness of empty relationships and the pain of horrible decisions. We’ve walked in pride, dealt with anxiety, experienced depression and even struggled with unbelief.
The beautiful thing about all of this is that we serve a God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). He has a way of turning something that we see as a negative into something positive.
I know the only way to see God change the world through me is if I’m H.O.T. and willing to share my story with anyone God sends to listen.
